Description

Delicious Greek turkey meatballs served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce, perfect for family dinners or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Salt to taste (for tzatziki)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1–1.5 inches in size, and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) is reached.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki by combining Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl. Stir well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Serve the meatballs hot with the tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes

Allow tzatziki to chill while the meatballs bake for enhanced flavor. Use an air fryer for a healthier cooking option.
